“Growing Community One Seed at a Time” happens through building long-term relationships via shared experiences in urban agriculture, youth programming, and community outreach events.
Urban Agriculture is reintegrating food production, preservation, and preparation back into the lives of city dwellers. Community gardens, community orchards, beekeeping, community classes, and more bring the green back into our city and our bellies.
Youth Programming aims to connect kids with nature, God, and each other through taking the kids out of the city to nature-related activities such as Fishing Club and Horse Club. Garden Club brings nature to our backyard. Transportation to an Awanas program in rural Iowa develops cross-cultural relationships and spiritual growth.
Community Outreach Events provide shared events and education through community sustainability and enrichment classes, community meals, and community events.
